I learned as a very young, and very small child that people are much less likely to confront ANYONE likely to biite eyes, especially your own. (To be fair, as a sixth grader in the USA, I was smaller than even the kindergarteners, and thus considered an easy target for bullying).
Generally, anyone attempting to bully me only did it once.
New bullies would not listen to pre-existing bullies that had confronted me. I was the smallest, but I was not going to be a victim, even if I did not remember my actions after first getting hit.
Oh, there are four of them, and one of me? I outnumber them significantly, is how I thought as a child.
In all fairness, that same attitude, brought into adulthood, has led to some guilt, trauma, and ongoing pain.
I was arrogant when younger, and in adulthood have learned a major lesson.
I DO still believe I could take on four, but I also realize the price I (and others) will pay,
Even if Alexis and Roji joined the fight, they’d still be outnumbered. Not looking good…
Side note, how do the torturers even see what they’re doing in a dimly lit room with sunglasses on?
