I remember reading this in the sketch version and being utterly shocked. I thought I’d be OK this time because I knew what was coming, but still, this is terrible.
I’m reading the comic for the first time. At this point my thought is that there’s still too much we don’t know about why this society is the way it is to be judging the Producer. It could turn out that the Producer has their own problems or is under restrictions like a limited resource environment that limit what they can do to change things. It could even turn out that the ‘real’ villains are as yet unrevealed, such as the Viewers or Subscribers. I suspect we will eventually find out much more and I’m interested to see where things go.
I don’t even know what to say… I didn’t expect this to be so horrible… Those guys are monsters…
If the “good guys” kill innocents to meet a quota, I want to be a “bad guy.”
