In my humble, and late, expression of opinion. I think that the old art style was quite charming as well, really brought me into the series. (although the “new” one is amazing for the intense action scenes)
Then again, considering that I found out about this from a friend, and read up to here, all in today. ..Well, that doesn’t contradict in any way, does it?
I have to admit, time works a bit weird in this, like, they were able to get in vans and follow him -extremely- quickly. I’d imagine there’d at least be some delay, even a minute or so, before that happened.

Absolutely. However, healing spit cannot heal a bullet stuck in a leg. He has to tie the bloodflow off first before trying to pull that bullet out.
(I mean, relatively ok. Better than being suffocated to death. Our boy deserves a puppy <3).
